Under David's leadership, the Ocean Program has achieved several key milestones, the latest being the "Catch Shares Program".

Tim Kenyon is a Senior Market Analyst for GFK Roper Consulting, a unit of GFK Custom Research North America. Amongst many roles, Tim is the Product Manager on Roper1s Green Gauge Study, which is a yearly look into the environmental consciousness of Americans.

Marlene Williamson is the VP of Global Marketing at Redback Networks, an Ericsson Company. She is responsible for leading global marketing initiatives, with a specific focus on developing world-class demand generation, brand building, product marketing and field marketing activities. We'll be talking to her about how the tele-communications industries are pushing to become more "green".

Michael Jasny joins us from NRDC talking about the new agreement between the Navy and their use of sonar. Negotiations have taken place to limit the times when sonar can be used in order to protect the whales that often migrate in waters where sonar is practiced.

Special agent Daniel Leclair is from the Department of fish and wildlife services. Leclair was the lead agent in an investigation of a large scale sophisticated ivory smuggling ring that smuggled ivory from Cameroon through Canada and finally to the U.S.

Kimon Onuma is the principal of Onuma and Associates and the president of Webscape. With a background in architecture as well as technology, he has been a proponent of Building Information Modeling for over 10 years. He specializes in underwater photography and has photographed everything from Great White Sharks to stingrays to sea turtles to coral reefs, and more. We invited David to talk to us about the oceans and what he has seen as far as changes under water in his many years of shooting below the surface.

Tina Ramme has 11 years experience working with lion, leopard, and cheetah projects in Africa. She has conducted biological research and conservation work all over the world. Her list of animal-research related credentials is impressive. Today, Tina is the director of the Center for Lion Conservation and Research in Kenya.

In April 2007, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, spoke out about environmental challenges – pointing out that they are as local as our neighborhoods -- and as global as our planet. Pelosi went further than that, saying, “It’s time for Congress to act on its own carbon footprint.” To help turn words into action, Pelosi turned to Daniel Beard, the Chief Administrative Officer of the House of Representatives.
